This helps us answer important questions like: is the platform working? Is something broken? Can we make this better?

No. Not to advertisers. Not to data brokers. Not to mysterious corporations. Not to anyone.

Your personal information stays your personal information.

4. When We Share Information

Running a modern platform requires help from trusted service providers. We may share information with companies that assist us with hosting, infrastructure, analytics, security, and customer support.

They only receive the information necessary to perform their services and are required to protect it appropriately.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, a court or regulator requires it, it is necessary to protect users, ROOTATOM, or the public, or ROOTATOM undergoes a merger, acquisition, or business restructuring.

We may also use or share information that has been anonymized or aggregated so it cannot reasonably identify any individual.

We spend a lot more time thinking about security than you should have to. That’s kind of the point.

That said, no system connected to the internet can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure. Anyone promising 100% security is either extremely optimistic or trying to sell something.

We keep information only for as long as necessary to provide the Service, improve the platform, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Different types of information may be retained for different periods depending on their purpose and legal requirements.

We’re not interested in keeping information forever just because we can.

If we learn that information has been collected in violation of applicable age requirements, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

The internet is global. Unfortunately, servers don’t all fit inside one building.

The internet evolves. Technology evolves. Laws evolve. Our developers occasionally have ideas.

Because of this, we may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify users through the Service.
